iPhone 7; is it gonna be the best?
Well we can never know, all we hear now is rumors but here are some facts about our Apple’s iPhone 7 features:
it would come with a 4.7-inch display
3D touch technology.
You would be able to choose storage of 32, 64, 128 or 256 GB. The 256 GB is not confirmed yet, but rumors say there’s a good chance it would be available especially after Apple has dropped the 16 GB option.
Regarding the Processing power, iPhone 7 would come with 3GB of RAM
A10 processor. Apple’s A10 processor will provide a great processing power as well, and is expected to dominate the mobile chipset market this year.
For the camera, iPhone 7 is expected to have a similar one to that in Samsung’s S7. The rear camera would be a 12 MP, with a 4K video recording.
The front camera should be a 5MP one as well.
iOS 9 Adoption Appears Stalled at 77 Percent of Active Devices
Apple released its iOS 9 operating system to the public in September last year alongside the launch of the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. At that time, it was reported that the iOS 9 penetration was in about 12 percent of the compatible devices within 24 hours since the launch. However, now the mobile OS seems to have reached a sort of plateau in adoption, as per the latest stats shared by Apple.
As seen on the Cupertino-based tech firm's App Store support page, iOS 9 was installed on 77 percent of active devices as of February 22, which is the same figure it had earlier this month on February 8. It is for this reason multiple reports are pointing to an almost static growth of the adoption. Also worthy of mention, was that it was installed on 75 percent of active devices as of January 11. Although the iOS 9 adoption rate has slowed down, the OS adoption rate is still slighty higher than compared to iOS 8.

Barcelona star Lionel Messi is hoping to arrange a meeting with an Afghan boy who shot to fame after pictures of him dressed in a striped plastic bag jersey went viral, Kabul’s football federation said Monday.

Five-year-old Murtaza Ahmadi idolises the Argentine soccer star but a jersey of his favourite player is beyond the means of his poor family in the volatile province of Ghazni near Kabul.
His elder brother Homayoun, 15, made him the blue-and-white-striped plastic shirt with Messi’s named scrawled in marker pen and posted the photos of Murtaza wearing it on Facebook in mid-January.
Jorge Messi, Lionel’s father, told AFP on Saturday that the footballer was aware of the photos that made waves on social media and “wants to do something” for his young fan.
The Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) on Monday said Messi was keen to meet Murtaza as soon as possible, though no date or venue has so far been finalised.
“Messi has been in communication with the federation to set up a meeting with the young boy,” AFF spokesman Sayed Ali Kazemi told AFP.
“We are working to see whether Messi will come to Afghanistan or the five-year-old will travel to Spain or they will meet in a third country.”
There was no immediate comment from FC Barcelona.
Setting up a meeting in Afghanistan, in the grip of a fierce Taliban insurgency, is fraught with security challenges.

EFCC: Tompolo backtracks, now to appear in court
WARRI—FORMER General Officer Commanding, GOC, Movement for the Emanicipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, Government Ekpumupolo, alias Tompolo, yesterday, said he will appear before the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, which issued a bench warrant for his arrest, January 14, but “at the appropriate time.”
The bench warrant followed a motion by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, which had filed different charges against Tompolo, over allegation of diverting N34 billion belonging to the Nigerian Maritime and Safety Agency, NIMASA, to personal use and laundering of N22.6 billion.
Tompolo, who spoke through his Media Adviser and Consultant, Mr. Paul Bebenimibo, also said he will never commence war against the Federal Government having accepted amnesty in 2009, reiterating that he was not party to the recent three-day bombing of crude oil and gas pipelines in Delta State.
He said: “Tompolo has no reason to bomb pipelines because of the EFCC case. He knows he is innocent. As he has stated on several occasions, he will appear in court at the appropriate time as his lawyers are working towards that.
“The truth of the matter is that Tompolo does not know anything about the N34 billion EFCC is talking about. First, it was N13 billion, now it is N34 billion. He is not a signatory to any of the companies mentioned in the said N34 billion case. So he does not know where this one is coming from.”

An Ikeja High Court, presided over by Justice Lateefa Okunnu, has convicted and sentenced a Nigerian undergraduate of Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University, Malaysia, Hope Olusegun Aroke, a Nigerian, to 24 years imprisonment over an internet scam involving N25 million.

Naira: CBN to fine-tune exchange rate
ABUJA — The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), yesterday, said it would soon fine tune the exchange rate of the Naira, even as the nation’s currency depreciated further to N305 against the dollar in the parallel market.
Addressing journalists at the end of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting, yesterday, CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, said the CBN would soon come out with efforts to fine tune the exchange rate framework.
This, he said, was to ensure “a more effective and liquid foreign exchange market, taking into account Nigeria’s strategic development priorities, with the policies being designed within an environment of regularly ensuring consistency with monetary and fiscal policies.”
The CBN governor gave no indication that he was ready to ease currency-trading and import restrictions that had kept the inter-bank exchange rate at 197-199 per dollar since March, even though they had been widely panned by investors, criticised by businesses and questioned by lawmakers.

LAGOS—The financial sector appears to have entered a heightened pressure, yesterday, as both the foreign exchange and stock market sustained major negative trends.
The Naira depreciated further to a 43-year low at N305 per dollar as scarcity of dollars intensified in the unofficial market.
From an average of N287 per dollar on Tuesday, the parallel market exchange rate rose to an average of N305 per dollar across the country.
Similarly, the new year stock market haemorrhage entered the eighth day yesterday, with a total N1.22 trillion losses to investors, giving a year-to-date decline of 12.36 per cent in market capitalisation.

The market key index, the Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index, NSE ASI, declined year-to-date by same margin.

Since Monday when the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) stopped weekly dollar sales to Bureaux De Change (BDCs), the Naira has been depreciating against the dollar.

After recapturing Mexican drug lord, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman in a pre-dawn shootout and chase through drains on Friday, January 8, 2015, sources say he has been sent back to the same prison he escaped from six months ago.
According to multiple reports, the head of the powerful Sinaloa drug cartel was returned to the same prison he escaped from in a boost for the beleaguered government of Mexican president, Enrique Pena Nieto.

It was further reported that though Guzman had been recaptured and imprisoned, his extradition to the United States of America might take some time.
A senior Mexican official said the attorney general's office would quickly move to determine how Guzman could be extradited, but that it could be months before he would be sent out of the country.
After coming under fire for failing to send Guzman to the United States before he escaped the last time, Mexico said in July it had approved an order to extradite him north of the border.
Hours after recapturing Guzman on Friday, the U.S. Justice department said its previous request to extradite Guzman to the United States still stands.
Obasanjo ‘Ex-President is the greatest African after Nelson Mandela
,’
Former Oyo State Governor, Rashidi Ladoja has described former President, Olusegun Obasanjo as the greatest African after iconic South African leader, late Nelson Mandela.
Ladoja reportedly made the comments while addressing journalists at his Ibadan home during a recent meeting.
“Since he (Obasanjo) became Head of State in 1976, he has always had a hand in who becomes the president of Nigeria. It was said he had a hand in how Alhaji Shehu Shagari became the president of Nigeria in 1979. After Shagari, the next one we had was when he became president in 1999,” he said.
“Look at this paradox, Obasanjo became president 20 years after he was said to have had a hand in how Shagari became president. He also had hand in how the late Alhaji Umar Yar’Adua became president in 2007. He also had hand in how Goodluck Jonathan became president and he had hand in how Muhammadu Buhari became president.
“Tell me if there is any Nigerian that can be said to be greater than that. Obasanjo’s voice in Africa today is about number one. When he talks, everybody knows that Obasanjo has talked. We should not minimise the fact that God decides what he wants to do. I am not a pastor, but I believe that God has a hand in everything that is happening in Nigeria, and even everything that is happening in the world.
“If he calls the United States President, Barack Obama, he doesn’t need to say who is Obasanjo? The world leaders know him. The Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban ki Moon, knows him. He may not be the most righteous but he has been the one that has been so favoured. Buhari became President, essentially because of the vote of the North. Obasanjo became president, not because of the votes of the West, it was not the vote of his own people.
“So, me and my brother (Obasanjo) are not good friends o. We cannot sit down together for one hour without fighting. But it cannot be denied that so far he is the biggest Nigerian and as of today, the greatest African after Nelson Mandela, who is no more,”
